Cedar Park 2010 Garden Workshop series
Join us in Cedar Park, located 49th – 50th Street on Baltimore Avenue for our Garden Workshops. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the park while learning about garden topics applicable to our area. Workshops take place next to the Playground at the 50th Street end of the Park. (In the event of rain the workshop will be rescheduled)
Caring for Young Trees

With Sue Pringle, Executive Director, UC Green
Join us as we learn to care for the many young trees that have been planted throughout our neighborhood. Learn how to plant and care for your own. Sue Pringle, of UC Green (www.ucgreen.org; 215-573-4684) will review planting and care basics to ensure the health of our expanding urban tree canopy.

Weeding, mulching & cleaning is more fun with neighbors! Come join other volunteers and help us kick-off Spring in Cedar Park. We'll spend the morning cleaning-up our beloved park together! Meet in Cedar Park at 10am. Come in gardening clothes and bring a water bottle, gloves & tools if you have them. Please RSVP to tatemch[at]aol[dot]com if you are able to join in.

CPN General Membership Meeting Dec. 2nd

Our membership meeting will focus on Cedar Park’s Past, Present and Future. We have some big anniversaries coming up and we invite members to help shape planning for upcoming activities. 2010 is the 50th Anniversary for Cedar Park Neighbors and 2011 will be the 100th Anniversary of Cedar Park, our community green space. These are big milestones and we want to honor history, hard work and visions for the future with activities beginning fall, 2009. We will also preview a new media piece promoting the Baltimore Avenue commercial corridor and discuss the potential for a visioning study for the western portion of the commercial corridor west, from 49th to 52nd Street.
